Production Tour

A guided tour of Bunnahabhain distillery including the malt mill, mash tun, washbacks and stills where we will share with you not only the history of the distillery and the steps we take in creating our whisky, but also how Bunnahabhain came to be. 

Afterwards, head over to our Boathouse tasting room for two drams from our core range Bunnahabhain single malt whiskies. 

Duration:  50 minutes          2 drams (20ml) of whisky

Location:

Stunningly located in the north of the Island on the Sound of Islay we are only a short driving distance from Port Askaig ferry terminal, around 40 minutes from Bowmore, and 50 minutes from Port Ellen.  From the main A846 a four mile single track road leads you through a wonder of wildlife to the road end where the distillery sits.

Accessibility:

Due to the historic nature of the building not all areas are mobility friendly.  Please contact us on info@bunnahabhain.com for further information.

Children under the age of 8 are not permitted access to the warehouse or designated tasting areas.

Footwear:

Due to Health & Safety, open toe shoes, flip-flops, high heels and cycling shoes are not allowed in our production areas. Please make sure you bring a change of footwear if you have any of the above. Anyone wearing unsuitable footwear will not be allowed on the tour and a refund won't be given.
